The cellar book

Provenance · The Registry, 1874
Built in 1873–1874, Ottawa's former City Registry Office kept the deeds, surveys, mortgages and land records that shaped the capital.
Its brickwork, arched openings and vaulted interior outlived their first purpose. The building received heritage designation in 1978. Today a new chapter begins inside them.
